Our story / Est. 2019
The game brings us together.
Where it began
One summer night at Asphalt Green.
Established in 2019, the International Masters Classic is a senior lacrosse tournament for international-affiliation teams based in the United States. The idea came from longtime players connected to the Israel Lacrosse Association.
It began with two teams at Asphalt Green in New York City: Ireland 40+ and Israel 40+. That summer-night matchup became the foundation of an annual gathering.
Today IMC is a completely volunteer-run, non-profit 501(c)(3) venture. Its mission is to help more national-heritage teams develop, support their related national lacrosse programs, and grow the game.
That includes work with developing programs such as Kenya Lacrosse and Puerto Rico Lacrosse, and organizations such as Able Athletics.
